Alex Flint is the founder of Body Torque Online and Gym which is located in Auckland, New Market, and is a leading strength and conditioning coach. 
With over 25 years of experience in the fitness industry, Alex holds a Bachelor of Physical Education, is a Level 3 Strength & Conditioning Specialist, and is certified in Applied Sports Nutrition.  

Using his wealth of knowledge and expertise, Alex has designed Body Torque to specifically help men and women become fitter, stronger and healthier after 40.  His innovative approach combines a deep understanding of the human body and science-backed training methods with cutting edge technology, including 3D body scanning and real-time heart rate monitoring, to deliver personalised and effective training programs.

As the official trainer for TV’3’s Match Fit and Game On series, Alex has guided former All Blacks, New Zealand League players, NZ Silver Fern Netballers as well as Hollywood stars, a UFC fighter and everyday people through transformative fitness and wellness journeys.

Our coaches are experienced in creating safe, effective programs that will help you to build strength, increase your energy levels, and get you moving better.

Your MyZone belt tracks your heart rate and effort in real time. You earn points based on how hard you’re working, and can see your stats on our gym leaderboard or via the app. It’s a great way to stay motivated — and a little friendly competition never hurts!

Yes — our online coaching service means you can train anywhere anytime under our guidance.

Our 3D body scanner gives you a detailed, accurate snapshot of your body’s shape, measurements, posture, and progress over time — far beyond what a scale or mirror can show. It’s a private, quick, and non-invasive way to track fat loss, muscle gain, and changes in posture or balance. It helps you stay motivated with real results you can see, not just feel.
